About Me


I'm a runner, triathlete, yoga instructor, teacher, and tour guide. During the summer, I run a mountain biking tour company and we bike in kilts. Its called Off Kilter Bike and you can visit that page at www.offkilterbike.com. We also have a Facebook Group that you can join called Off Kilter Bike 

As a runner, I've averaged about 1000 miles per year for the past 10 years. I've completed a number of marathons with a 3:34 PB in 2008. I've also done a number of triathlons, most recently I completed one in a kilt.  I try to keep a training log on Blogger at blogger.chamcooklake.ca

I'm a Certified Personal Trainer with Fitness New Brunswick and I currently coach Cross Country Running, Curling, and occasionally, Baseball. I'm one of the organizers of the Annual St.Andrews Father's Day Road Race, and this will be our 35th annual.  On Tuesday nights. I always try to meet up with my friends for a 5K Fun Run that I helped get started years ago, and on Thursday night I lead a Karma Yoga Class at Sunbury Shores Arts and Nature Centre.   

This year my fitness goals are to complete a Half Iron distance Triathlon here in my home town of St. Andrews, New Brunswick and to complete the 2013 New York Marathon. I went down to run in the 2012 version of the New York Marathon but Hurricane Sandy ruined the party. I use a Garmin forerunner and you can check out my stats on the Garmin site at connect.garmin.com. Click on Explore people and my username is Gumushel. I recently surpassed 17K since I started with this site in 2005. 

My other interests include NB Trails and Sunbury Shores Arts and Nature Centre
